IFFB 2019 IFFB vs Florisvaldo Francisco

The South African Institute for Drugfree Sport (SAIDS) conducted sample collection during the Arnold Classic Africa in Johannesburg in May 2019. Hereafter SAIDS reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Angolan bodybuilder Florisvaldo Francisco after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substances Chlorothiazide, Clenbuterol, Furosemide, Hydrochlorothiazide and Triamterene.

After notification in May 2019 a provisional suspension was ordered by the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness (IFBB).
Consequently the IFBB Anti-Doping Commission finds that the Athlete committed an anti-doping rule violation and decides on 18 July 2019 to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 18 May 2019.
