NADO Flanders 2016 Disciplinary Commission 20167438

In January 2017 NADO Flanders has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the cyclist after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Testosterone. After notification the Athlete was heard for the NADO Flanders Disciplinary Commission.

At first the Athlete denied that he was a sportsman submitted to Doping Control. However after he was confronted with the facts that he was mentioned in the results, in the bulletins and member of a cycling team, he acknowledged that he was an Athlete and sportsman and he accepted the test result.

The Disciplinaire Commission finds that the presence of a prohibited substance has been established in the Athlete's sample and accordingly that he had committed an anti-doping rule violation. The Commission deems that the Athlete intentionally had used the prohibited substance.

Therefore the NADO Flanders Disciplinary Commission decides on 21 March 2017 to impose a fine and a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the Decision.

Fees and expenses for this Commission shall be borne partially by the Athlete.
