In June 2010 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Domokos Balogh after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance testosterone with a T/E ratio above the WADA threshold.
After notification a provisional suspension was ordered.
Research of the Athlete’s supplements showed that the food supplement Animal Test contained the prohibited substance testosterone.
On 16 September 2010 the ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. 12 August 2010.

In June 2010 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the minor Athlete Miruna Elena Trifan after her sample tested positive for the prohibited substance metandienone.
The Athlete stated she had used pills provided by her coach Xenofonte Boboc. The coach admitted he gave the Athlete Naposim (metandienone) without the medical staff’s notice and without knowledge of the Athlete or members of her family.

Due to the coach guilt and the Athlete’s no fault, the ANAD Hearing Commission decides not to sanction the Athlete on 12 August 2010.
The ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose lifetime period of ineligibility on the coach Xenofonte Boboc, starting on the date of the decision.

Hereafter in September 2010 WADA appealed the decision of the ANAD Hearing Commission with the ANAD Appeal Commission due to the Athlete’s no fault.

In June 2010 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Darius Constantin Dumitriu after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance testosterone with a T/E ratio above the WADA threshold.
After notification the Athlete was heard for the ANAD Hearing Commission.
The Athlete denied the use of testosterone and did not request for the B sample analysis.
On 12 August 2010 the ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the decision.

In July 2010 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Vlad Alexandru Ionaşcu after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance cannabis as a second violation.
The Athlete admitted the use of cannabis before he signed the doping control form and initially refused to provide a sample due to he knew he had committed a second anti-doping rule violation, but finally provided the sample.
After notification the Athlete failed to attend the hearing of the ANAD Hearing Commission.
Considering this is the Athlete’s second anti-doping rule violation the ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 1 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the decision.

ANAD Comisia de Audiere 2010_24 ANAD vs Paul Cӑtrunӑ

In July 2010 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Paul Cӑtrunӑ after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance 19-norandrosterone (nandrolone).
After notification a provisional suspension was ordered and the Athlete was heard for the ANAD Hearing Commission.

The Athlete argued that he suffered from an injury in June 2009 and therefore used Decanofort (nandrolone) causing the positive doping test in July 2010. However this argument was dismissed after consultancy of the Cologne Doping Laboratory and the review of studies or researches in the field.
Therefore the ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 8 July 2010.

In July 2010 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Denis Adrian Blidariu after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance metenolone.
After notification a provisional suspension was ordered and the Athlete filed a statement in his defence.
The Athlete admitted the use of metenolone and did not request for the B sample analysis.
Therefore the ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 8 July 2010.

In July 2010 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Adrian Rusu after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance stanozolol.
After notification the Athlete failed to attend the hearing of the ANAD Hearing Commission, nor did he file a statement in his defence.
Therefore the ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the decision.

The Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the AthleteBrice Kabengele-Kalala after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance cannabis.
The Athlete admitted he used cannabis and did not request for the B sample analysis.
The ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 6 month period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the decision.

ANAD Comisia de Audiere 2010_15 ANAD vs Cӑtӑlin Burlacu & Virgil Nicolae Iordache

Mr. Virgil Nicolae Iordache is the team physiokinetotherapist of the Romanian Asesoft Ploiesti University Sport Club. In May 2010 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against Mr. Iordache after he prescribed the product Ginko Fort, which contained the prohibited substance heptaminol, to the Athlete Cӑtӑlin Burlacu as medical treatment.
Due to the treatment, the Athlete’s sample hereafter tested positive for the prohibited substance heptaminol. Considering the Athlete’s lack of guilt the ANAD Hearing Commission decided to impose a 3 month period of ineligibility on the Athlete.

Mr. Iordache admitted the violation and took responsibility for the administration.
Considering Mr. Iodrach prescribed the product, although he knew that the product contained heptaminol, the ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on Mr. Virgil Nicolae Iordache, starting on the date of the decision.

ANAD Comisia de Audiere 2010_14 ANAD vs Cӑtӑlin Burlacu & Virgil Nicolae Iordache

In May 2010 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Cӑtӑlin Burlacu after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance heptaminol.
After notification the Athlete was provisional suspended and heard for the ANAD Hearing Commission.
The Athlete stated he suffered from chronical haemorrhoids and therefore the team physiokinetotherapist prescribed Ginko Fort, which contained heptaminol, together with anti-inflammatories.
The team physiokinetotherapist confirmed the administration of the product and officials argued that the substance does not enhance sports performance in basketball.

The Hearing Commission concludes that the Athlete’s team physiokinetotherapist is responsible for prescribing the product with the prohibited substance. Considering the Athlete’s lack of guilt the ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 3 month period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on 19 May 2010.
