In November 2012 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Nicolae Constantin Petrean after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance methandienone. After notification a provisional suspension was ordered. The Athlete filed a statement in his defence and did not attend the hearing of the ANAD Hearing Commission.

The Athlete admitted the use of the prohibited substance and argued he used it as treatment for his injury.
The ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 2 February 2013.

The Athlete admitted the use of the prohibited substance. One month before the competition he suffered from an injury to his left shoulder. Upon advise of a friend he took a treatment consisting of the administration of 4 vials of decadurabolin.
The ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the decision.

AFLD 2009 FFV vs Respondent M10

Facts
The French Sailing Federation (Fédération Française de Voile, FFV) charges respondent M10 for a violation of the Anti-Doping Rules. During a sailing event on September 11, 2008, a sample was taken for doping test purposes. Analysis of the sample showed the presence of finasteride. Finasteride is a prohibited substance according the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list and is regarded as a specified substance.

History
The respondent had received a warning from the disciplinary committee of the FFV on November 21, 2008. Respondent appealed against this decision by letter on December 23, 2008.
