Facts
The Irish Sports Council (ISC) has reported an Anti-Doping Rule Violation against the Athlete IS-1535 (the Athlete) after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance cannabis in a high concentration above the WADA threshold.

History
The Athlete admitted the violation and waived his right to test the B sample. The Athlete stated that he had used cannabis with friends before the competition without intention to enhance his performance.

The Panel considered the violation to be a serious in particular having regard to the high level of the specified substance, allthough it was not used to enhance sport performance. In particular Motor Sport Ireland was concerned that the Athlete posed a danger not only to himself but also to other competitors.

Decision
The Irish Sport Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel (ISADDP) decideds to impose a 9 month period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the sample collection.

ISADDP 2012 CI Disciplinary Decision 20121534

Facts
Cycling Ireland has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete IS-1534 (the Athlete) after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance cannabis in a concentration above the WADA threshold.

History
The Athlete admitted that he had used “a pipe load” of cannabis in the company of his friends, in the social setting of his friend’s home. The Athlete is a very occasional cannabis user, who would typically smoke cannabis two to three times per year.

Decision
The Irish Sport Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel (ISADDP) rules that:
1. The Athlete committed a breach of Article 2.1 of the Irish Anti-Doping Rules. However, his breach was inadvertent and it was not intended to, nor did it, provide him with an unfair advantage.
2. Having already served a period of ineligibility of seven weeks, the respondent is free to recover his Cycling Ireland membership card, and to recommence competition, with immediate effect.
3. All other prayers for relief are dismissed.

ISADDP 2012 FAI Disciplinary Decision 20121533

Facts
The Irish Sports Council (ISC) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete IS-1533 (the Athlete) after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Methylhexaneamine (dimethylpentylamine).

History
The Athlete admitted the violation and stated that he had used frequently the supplement Jack 3d without intention to enhance his performance. The Athlete argued that he had mentioned the use of the supplement on the Doping Control Form and didn't know it contained a prohibited substance. The Athlete admitted that he had failed to research the ingredients of the product before using and asserted that he had never received anti-doping education.

Decision
The Panel accepts the Athlete's statement and withhout intention to enhance his performance teh Panel decides to impose a 8 month period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the sample collection.

ISADDP 2012 AI Disciplinary Decision 20121532

Facts
The Irish Sports Council (ISC) has reported an Anti-Doping Rule Violation against the Athlete IS-1532 (the Athlete) after his sample, collected in the United States, tested positive for the prohibited substance Erythropoietin (EPO).

The Athlete prompt admitted the violation and stated that he had purchased the substance on the internet and administrated the day before he was tested.

Decision
The Panel decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the sample collection.

ISADDP 2012 ITOWA Disciplinary Decision 20121531

Facts
The Irish Sports Council (ISC) has reported Anti-Doping Rule Violations against the Athletes IS-1503, IS-1504 and IS-1505 after their samples tested positive for the prohibited substance Methylhexaneamine (dimethylpentylamine).

History
The Athletes prompt admitted the violation and stated that they not intentionally had used together a supplement sports drink 'Nox Pump' on the day of the competion without knowledge that it contained the prohibited substance.

Decision
With no significant fault or negligence in this case the Panel decides to impose a 18 month period of ineligibility on the Athletes starting on the date of the sample collection.

ISADDP 2013 IAWLA Disciplinary Decision 20131530

Facts
The Irish Sports Council (ISC) has reported an Anti-Doping Rule Violation against the Athlete IS-1530 after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance cannabis in a concentration above the WADA threshold.

History
The Athlete admitted that he had smoked cannabis at a party two days before the competition and without intention to enhance his performance. The Athlete argued that previously had no plans to participate and he only entered the competition after an off-the-cuff decision.

Decision
The Panel accepted the Athlete's statement and decides only to reprimand the Athlete.

The Irish Sports Council (ISC) has reported an Anti-Doping Rule Violation against the minor Athlete IS-1501 after his sample tested positive for the prohibited subsance furosemide.
Also the ISC reported an Anti-Doping Rule Violation against the Athlete's coach IS-1502 for the administration of the prohibited substance to the Athlete IS-1501.

History
The Athlete stated that he had used a medication as treatment for his ankle injury he suffered provided by his coach and without a TUE. The coach prompt had admitted his failure with the medication

Decision
- The Panel decided to impose a 9 month period of ineligibility on the Athlete IS-1501 starting on the date of the provisional suspension.
- The Panel decided to impose a 27 month period of ineligibility on the trainer IS-1502 starting on the date of the provisional suspension.

History
The Athlete admitted that he had used several times cannabis in a social context before, but unconnected with, his sporting activities and without intention to enhance his performance.

Decision
A 1 year period of ineligibility is imposed on the Athlete starting on the date of the provisional suspension.

In June 2011 the Irish Sports Council (ISC) has reported an Anti-Doping Rule Violation against the Athlete IS-1527 after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance cannabis in a concentration above the WADA threshold.

History
The athlete admitted the violation by letter dated 3 July 2011.

Decision
The sanction of a 12 month period of ineligibility is imposed on the Athlete starting on the date of the sample collection.

Facts
The Irish Sports Council (ISC) has reported an Anti-Doping Rule Violation against the Athlete IS-1526 (the Athlete) after his A and B samples tested positive for the prohibited substance stanozolol.

History
The Athlete admitted the violation and stated that he had purchased supplements from the United States including “fat burners” which mentioned that stanozolol “mainly burns fat”. He asserted that this product was the source of the positive test result.

Decision
A 2 year period of ineligibility is imposed on the Athlete starting on the date of the provisional suspension.
