FIG 2010 FIG vs Alisa Usmanova

The Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete after her sample tested positive for the prohibited substance furosemide.
After notification by the FIG the Athlete filed a statement in her defence in November 2009.
The Athlete admitted she had used furosemide tablets to lose weight. She stated she had no intention to enhance performance and expressed her regrets.
Considering Athlete’s statement the FIG Disciplinary Commission decides to impose a 1 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete and to disqualify the Athlete’s results.
