Facts
The Irish Sports Council (ISC) has reported an Anti-Doping Rule Violation against the minor Athlete IS-1501 after his sample tested positive for the prohibited subsance furosemide.
Also the ISC reported an Anti-Doping Rule Violation against the Athlete's coach IS-1502 for the administration of the prohibited substance to the Athlete IS-1501.
History
The Athlete stated that he had used a medication as treatment for his ankle injury he suffered provided by his coach and without a TUE. The coach prompt had admitted his failure with the medication
Decision
- The Panel decided to impose a 9 month period of ineligibility on the Athlete IS-1501 starting on the date of the provisional suspension.
- The Panel decided to impose a 27 month period of ineligibility on the trainer IS-1502 starting on the date of the provisional suspension.
