AFLD 2013 FFA vs Respondent M17

Facts
The French Athletics Federation (Fédération Française d'athlétisme, FFA) charges respondent M17 for a violation of the Anti-Doping Rules. During an athletics event "Trail des pirates de Kerhervy", on May 1, 2012, the respondent provided a sample for doping test purposes. His sample tested positive on a metabolite of cannabis. Cannabis is a prohibited substance according to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list and is regarded as a specified substance.

Decision
1. The imposed sanction is a period of 6 months of ineligibility in which the respondent can't take part in competition or sport manifestations organized by the FFA.
2. The period of ineligibility wil be reduced with the period allready served in voluntary suspension.
3. The earlier decision of the Disciplinary Committee, July 11, 2012, of the FFA will be adapted (which was 3 months of ineligibility).
4. The decision will start on the date of the notification of the respondent.
5. The decision will be published and sent to the parties involved.
