AFLD 2012 FFHMFAC vs Respondent M17

Facts
The French Federation of Weightlifting, Fitness, Powerlifting and Bodybuilding (Fédération Française d'Halterophilie, Musculation, Force Athlétique et Culturisme, FFHMFAC) charges respondent M17 for a violation of the Anti-Doping Rules. During a weightlifting event that took place on June 12, 2011, a sample was taken for doping test purposes. Analysis of the sample showed the presence of a metabolite of cannabis. According the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list cannabis is a prohibited substance and regarded as as specified substance.

History
The respondent hadn't used the cannabis for enhancing sport performance, it was used in a recreational setting.

Decision
1. The sanction is a period of ineligibility of 4 months in which the respondent can't take part in competition or manifestations organized by the FFHMFAC.
2. All result of the event of June 12, 2011, will be cancelled, Medals, point and prizes will be withdrawn.
3. The decision will start on the day of notification.
4. The decision will be published and sent to the parties involved.
