AFLD 2012 FFA vs Respondent M115

Facts
The French Athletics Federation (Fédération Française d'Athlétisme, FFA) charges respondent M115 for a violation of the Anti-Doping Rules. During an athletics event on May 26, 2012, a sample for doping test purposes was taken. The analysis of the sample showed the presence of a metabolite of mesterolone, a report of a high ratio testosterone on epitestosterone which indicates metabolites of testosterone of exogenous origen. Mesterolone and testostero of exogenous origin are prohibited substances according the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list and considered as a specified substances.

History
The respondent explains that the positive test was caused by medication taken to release the pain of an injured ankle.

Decision.
1. The sanction is a period of ineligibility of two years in which respondent can't take part in competition or manifestations organized or authorized by the FFA and also for other French sport federations.
2. The decision will start on the date of notification.
3. The decision will be published and sent to the parties involved.
