In July 2002 the Lyfjaráð ÍSÍ, the Iceland ISI Anti-Doping Committee, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete after his A sample tested positive for the prohibited substance ephedrine and pseudo-efedrine.
After notification the Athlete requested the B sample to be tested. Therefore the Iceland ISI Anti-Doping Committee requested the ISI Tribunal for a provisional suspension.
The Athlete has no comment about this request for a provisional suspension and reserved his right to defend himself as soon as the result of the B sample is available.

The ISI Tribunal decides to order a provisional suspension of 4 weeks on the Athlete.
