Facts
The French Athletics Federation (Fédération Française d'Athlétisme, FFA) charges respondent M21 or a violation of the Anti-Doping Rules. During an athletics event on July 25, 2010, a sample for doping test purposes was taken. The analysis of the sample showed the presence of prednisone and prednisolone. These substances are prohibited according the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list and regarded as specified substances.
History
The respondent used medications to treat pain in the joints and chronic back pain, these medication where the cause of the positive test. However he already had a previous sanction (3 years period of ineligibility), dated July 17, 2007, by the disciplinary committee of the FFA for using nandrolone, stanozolol and strychnine.
Decision.
1. The sanction is a period of ineligibility of two years in which respondent can't take part in competition or manifestations organized or authorized by the FFA and related French sport federations.
2. All results obtained in the athletics event of July 25, 2012, will be cancelled. Medals, points and prizes are withdrawn.
3. The decision will start on the date of notification.
4. The decision will be published and sent to the parties involved.
