AFLD 2011 FFA vs Respondent M83

The French Athletics Federation (Fédération Française d'Athlétisme, FFA) charges respondent M83 for a violation of the Anti-Doping Rules. During a cross-country on December 11, 2010, a sample was taken for doping test purposes. The sample tested positive on norpseudoephedrine a metabolite of pseudoephedrine, a prohibited substance according the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list and regarded as a specified substance.

The respondent used medication to treat influenza and sinusitis symptoms as an emergency. There was no intension to enhance his sport performance.

3. The decision, dated April 1, 2011, of the disciplinary committee of the FFA is cancelled.
