In October 2012 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Vajda Attlila after his sample tested positive for the prohibited cannabinoid substance JWH018.
At the hearing the Athlete stated he smoked marihuana on 6 October 2012 at his birthday pary, 4 days before the competition. However the competition in question took place on 27 October 2012. The Athlete was tested before out-of-competition on 10 October 2012, but the substance found was not prohibited out-of-competition, only in competition.
Hereafter the Athlete admitted that his first statement was not true in order to mislead the Hearing Commission.
The ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 6 month period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the decision.
