In November 2012 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Sorin Gabriel Ticudean after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance 19-norandrosterone, metabolite of nandrolone.
After notification the Athlete filed a statement in his defence and did not attend the hearing of the ANAD Hearing Commission.
The Athlete admitted the use of the prohibited substance. One month before the competition he suffered from an injury to his left shoulder. Upon advise of a friend he took a treatment consisting of the administration of 4 vials of decadurabolin.
The ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the decision.
