In June 2007 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported several anti-doping rule violations against two Athletes and their coach.
On 14 June 2007 the Athlete Alexandru Victor Predoi tried to tamper, refused the sample collection and left the Doping Control Station without the permission of the Doping Control Officer.
During the same testing the Athlete Ionel Raducanu refused to provide a sample after signing the notification for doping control and also left the Doping Control Station without permission of the Doping Control Officer.
The Athletes were encouraged in their actions bij their coach Ionel Iordach not to provide a sample and therefore being their accomplice to the anti-doping rule violations.
On 3 July 2007 the ANAD Sanction Committee decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the two Athletes Alexandru Victor Predoi and Ionel Raducanu and a 4 year period of ineligibility on the coach Ion Iordache, starting on the date of the decision.
