ALAD 2013 ALAD vs Frank Schleck

Facts
The Anti-Doping Agency of Luxembourg (l'Agence Luxembourgeoise Antidopage, ALAD) - charges Frank Schleck, the athlete, for a violation of the Anti-Doping Rules. During the Tour de France he was selected for a doping control on July 14, 2012. His sample showed the presence of xipamide, which is a diuretic and seen as a specified substance.

History
The athlete had request a B-sample analysis, which confirmed the results of the A-sample. He claims an involuntary contamination and even wants to undergo a test with a lie-detector.
The fact that he never was condemned and never tested positive during the countless doping controls he underwent, allows the disciplinary council to consider that a 12-month suspension is proportional.

Decision
1. The sanction is a period of ineligibility of twelve months starting from the period of voluntary suspension.
2. The offer to undergo a lie-detector test is denied.
3. All the individual results obtained during the Tour de france 2012, are cancelled.
