AEPSAD 2015 AEPSAD vs respondent E48

In December 2015 the Spanish Agency for the Protection of Health in Sport (Agencia Española de Protección de la Salud en el Deporte, AEPSAD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the respondent E48 after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance chlorothiazide.

After notification the respondent filed a statement, sustained by medical evidence, in his defence. The respondent admitted the violation and submitted that he used the substance as prescribed medication to treat his hypertension.

Considering the circumstances AEPSAD decides on 9 March 2016 to impose a 1 year period of ineligibility on the respondent starting on the date of the sample collection.
