AEPSAD 2015 AEPSAD vs respondent E49

In December 2015 the Spanish Agency for the Protection of Health in Sport (Agencia Española de Protección de la Salud en el Deporte, AEPSAD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the respondent E49 after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance cocaine.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered and the respondent filed a statement in his defence. The respondent admitted the violation and gave an explanation about the circumstances resulting in the positive test result. He requested to limit the annulment of competition results and not to publish the anti-doping decision because of damage to his reputation.

Considering the circumstances AEPSAD decides on 23 March 2016 as settlement to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the respondent starting on the date of the provisional suspension including forfeiture of the results won in the competitions and a € 3001,- fine.
