ADAK 2017 ADAK vs Vincent Kipchichir

In November 2016 the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Vincent Kipchichir after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substances 19-norandrosterone and 19-noretiocholanolone (Nandrolone). After notification a provisional suspension was ordered.

The Athlete denied the intentional use of the substances, accepted the test results and did not attend the hearing of the Judiciary Office of the Kenya Sports Disputes Tribunal.

The Panel concludes that the Athlete failed to establish that the violation was not intentional nor how the substances entered his system.
Therefore the Judiciary Office of the Kenya Sports Disputes Tribunal decides on 25 June 2018 to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 12 November 2016.
