ADAK 2018 ADAK vs Morris Musilwa Mafunya

In July 2018 the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Kenyan bodybuilder Morris Musilwa Mafunya after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Furosemide.

Without success ADAK made several attempts in 2018 and in 2019 to contact the Athlete to notify him about the anti-doping rule violation. However the Athlete failed to respond to the communications.

Without the Athlete’s response the Sports Disputes Tribunal of Kenya concludes that the test result establish the presence of a prohibited substance in the Athlete's sample and accordingly that he committed an anti-doping rule violation. Therefore the Tribunal decides on 29 August to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on 3 August 2018.
