World Athletics 2019 WA vs Belal Ahmed

In December 2019 World Athletics (WA) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Egyptian Athlete Belal Ahmed after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Recombinant Erythropoietin (rhEPO).

After notification the Athlete admitted the violation, waived his right to be heard, accepted a provisional suspension and the sanction proposed by WA.
Therefore WA decides on 30 December 2019 to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 4 December 2019.
