In January 2018 NADO Flanders has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete for his evasion or failure to submit to sample collection when requested. After notification a provisional suspension was ordered and the Athlete was heard for the NADO Flanders Disciplinary Commission.
Here the Doping Control Officers (DCO) reported that at the fitness center the Athlete was duly notified about the upcoming Doping Control but he had to be convinced to sign the Noftification Form and he left the fitnesscenter through a side exit as noticed by the attending police officers assisting the DCO’s. The Athlete admitted the violation but denied that he intentionally evaded Doping Control.
Considering the evidence the Disciplinary Commission finds that the Athlete intentionally committed the anti-doping rule violation.
Therefore the NADO Flanders Disciplinary Commission decides on 3 April 2018 to impose a fine and a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 18 January 2018.
Fees and expenses for this Commission shall be borne partially by the Athlete.
