In 2018 NADO Flanders has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Ephedrine. After notification the Athele was heard for the NADO Flanders Disciplinary Commission.
The Athlete admitted the violation and explained with medical evidence that he suffered from an allergy while previously in Spain he had a severe allergy attack and as treatment had used Efedrina Level medication purchased over-the-counter in a Spanish pharmacy.
NADO Flanders deemed that this violation was not intentional and that the Athlete bears with No Significant Fault or Negligence.
The Disciplinary Commission finds that the presence of the prohibited substance had been established in the Athlete’s sample and accordingly that he committed an anti-doping rule violation. The Commission agrees that the violation was not intentional and that the Athlete acted with No Significant Fault or Negligence.
Therefore the NADO Flanders Disciplinary Commission decides on 29 May2018 to impose a reprimand on the Athlete and to disqualify his resuts.
Fees and expenses for this Commission shall be borne partially by the Athlete.
