AFLD 2012 FFC vs Respondent M25

Facts
The French Cycling (Federation Fédération Française de Cyclisme, FFC) charges respondent M25 for a violation of the Anti-Doping Rules. During a cycling event on August 25, 2008, a sample was taken for doping test purposes. The sample showed the presence of a metabolite of nandrolone and metabolites of testosterone. Nandrolone and testosterone of exogenous origin are prohibited substances according the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibited list.

History
The respondent claims that the detected metabolites of nadrolone came from the use of eye drups. The cause of the metabolites of exogenous testosterone came from dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) which he took to suppress his desire for sex.

Decision
1. The sanction is a period of ineligibility of 2 years in which respondent can't take part in competition and manifestation organized by French sport federations.
2. All his results obtained at the cycling event on August 25, 2008, are cancelled, medals , points and prizes are withdrawn.
3. The decision will start on the date of notification.
4. The decision will be published and sent to the parties involved.
