AFLD 2014 FFA vs Respondent M12

Facts
The French Athletics Federation (Fédération Française d'athlétisme, FFA) charges respondent M12 for a violation of the Anti-Doping Rules. During an athletic event on August 24, 2013, a sample was taken for doping test purposes. Analysis of the sample showed the presence of a metabolite of cocaine. Cocaine is a prohibited substance according the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list.

History
The respondent denies the use of cocaine, but had used tea made from coca leaves five hours before the event started. There was no intention to enhance sport performance.
The panel considers the concentration measured in accordance with the consumption of tea from coca leaves as a process of metabolization.

Decision
1. The respondent is acquitted.
2. The decision will be published and sent to the parties involved.
