On 9 January 2017 the NADO Flanders Disciplinary Commission decided to impose a fine and a 4 year period of ineligibility on the bodybuilder for his refusal to submit to sample collection after notification.
Hereafter in January 2018 the Athlete appealed the Decision with the NADO Flanders Disciplinary Council and requested for a reduced sanction.
The Disciplinary Council established that the Athlete intentionally refused to submit to sample collection and that in First Instance the imposed sanction was justified. The Council further corrected a previous errenous submitted commencement date of the ineligibility period.
Therefore the NADO Flanders Disciplinary Council decides on 16 February 2018 to uphold the Decision of 9 January 2018 and to dismiss the Athlete's appeal.
Fees and expenses for this Council shall be borne by the Athlete.
