The Royal Dutch Billiards Federation (Koninklijke Nederlandse Biljartbond, KNBB) reported a violation of the Anti-Doping Code. Defendant was during a competition match tested, and his A-sample was found positive for the prohibited substance metoprolol.
The oral hearing took place on November 17, 2007, the defendant was present.
The defendant hadn't asked the Anti-Doping Authority for dispensation for using medicine for a heart condition, however he did mention the names of his medicine to the DCO. A written statement about his medicine from his general practioner is handed over. The defendant did sent in the dispensation form, but it was denied because of errors.
The award is a warning and a reprimand.
