In May 2016 the National Doping Control Commission of Chile (CNCD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the cyclist Rodrigo Zúñiga Díaz after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Stanozolol.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered and the Athlete failed to attended the hearing of the Disciplinary Panel of the Tribunal de Expertos en Dopaje (TED).

The Panel finds that the presence of a prohibited substance has been established in the Athlete's sample and accordingly that he committed an anti-doping rule violation.

Therefore the TED Disciplinary Panel decides on 31 January 2017 to impose 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 12 May 2016.

In March 2016 the National Doping Control Commission of Chile (CNCD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the cyclist Denisse Ahumada Riquelme for the possession and use of prohibited substances.

The Athlete was already expelled from a Sports Center due to syringes and multiple substances were found in her room: Testis Compostum, Recombinant Human Erythropoietin (rhEPO) and Methoxy polyethylene glycol-epoetin beta (CERA) including an invoice.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered. The Athlete filed a statement in her defence and she was heard for the Disciplinary Panel of the Tribunal de Expertos en Dopaje (TED).

The Athlete denied the possesion and use of the substances found in the room in question. She claimed that these substances did not belong to her since she was absent at the material time whereas the room was also shared with other athletes.

Considering the evidence in this case the Panel establishes that the found invoice in the room in question confirmed that the Athlete clearly had purchased these prohibited substances. Further the Panel regards that, although the Athlete provided names of athletes and other persons involved in anti-doping rule violations, her substantial assistance did not result in the opening of proceedings by the CNCD against these athletes or persons.

Therefore the TED Disciplinary Panel decides on 31 January 2017 to impose 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 15 March 2016.

In September 2016 the National Doping Control Commission of Chile (CNCD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the cyclist Karla Vallejos Puchi after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Furosemide.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered. The Athlete filed a statement in his defence and he was heard for the Disciplinary Panel of the Tribunal de Expertos en Dopaje (TED).

The Athlete admitted the violation and denied the intentional use of the substance. He explained that he underwent treament for his condition and used prescribed medication. Feeling unwell in July 2016 he self-medicated with Furosemide.

The CNCD did not accept the Athlete's explanation and contended that the found concentration of the substance in the Athlete's sample was inconsistent with his claimed ingestion a week before the sample collection.

The Panel finds that the presence of a prohibited substance has been established in the Athlete's sample and accordingly that he committed an anti-doping rule violation.

The Panel deems that there are inconsistencies in the Athlete's explanation and concludes that he had used the substance intentionally.

Therefore the TED Disciplinary Panel decides on 31 January 2017 to impose 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 14 September 2016.

In October 2016 the National Doping Control Commission of Chile (CNCD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the boxer Yerko Bravo Rojas after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Stanozolol.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered. The Athlete filed a statement in his defence and he was heard for the Disciplinary Panel of the Tribunal de Expertos en Dopaje (TED).

The Athlete denied the intentional use of the substance and explained that due to his work he suffered from a chronic back injury and despite medical treatments he did not recover. Recommended by a friend at the gym as treatment he was was injected with a medication while he was unaware that this was a prohibited substance. He asserted that in his personal circumstances he was less aware of prohibited substances.

The Panel finds that the presence of a prohibited substance has been established in the Athlete's sample and accordingly that he committed an anti-doping rule violation.

The Panel considers the Athlete's personal circumstances in this case and accepts that the substance was not used intentional with grounds for a reduced sanction.

Therefore the TED Disciplinary Panel decides on 10 April 2017 to impose 10 month period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 11 October 2016.

In June 2016 the National Doping Control Commission of Chile (CNCD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the cyclist Brandon Urrutia Carvallo after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Hydrochlorothiazide.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered. The Athlete filed a statement in his defence and did not attend the hearing of the Disciplinary Panel of the Tribunal de Expertos en Dopaje (TED).

In his submissions the Athlete admitted the violation and denied the intentional use of the substance. He explained with medical evidence that the substance was used as prescribed medication for his condition.

The Panel finds that the presence of a prohibited substance has been established in the Athlete's sample and accordingly that he committed an anti-doping rule violation.

The Panel accepts that the violation was not intentional and deems that he had acted negligently because he failed to apply for a TUE although he had mentioned his medication on the Doping Control Form.

Therefore the TED Disciplinary Panel decides on 17 April 2017 to impose a 1 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 1 June 2016.

In October 2016 the National Doping Control Commission of Chile (CNCD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the judo Athlete Armando Dassori Rodriguez after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Stanozolol.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered whereas the Athlete failed to attend the hearing of the Disciplinary Panel of the Tribunal de Expertos en Dopaje (TED).

The Disciplinary Panel finds that the presence of a prohibited substance has been established in the Athlete's sample and accordingly that he committed an anti-doping rule violation.

Therefore the TED Disciplinary Panel decides on 10 April 2017 to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 11 October 2016.

In November 2016 the National Doping Control Commission of Chile (CNCD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the canoeist Jose Miguel Tafra Quitral after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Drostanolone.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered. The Athlete filed a statement in his defence and was heard for the Disciplinary Panel of the Tribunal de Expertos en Dopaje (TED).

The Athlete admitted the violation and denied the intentional use of the substance. He stated that the substance was used out-of-competition to uphold his strenght.

The Panel finds that the presence of a prohibited substance has been established in the Athlete's sample and accordingly that he committed an anti-doping rule violation.

The Panel did not accept the Athlete's explanation and deems that the use of the substance is always prohibited in-competition and out-of-competition.

Therefore the TED Disciplinary Panel decides on 9 June 2017 to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 21 November 2016.

In October 2016 the National Doping Control Commission of Chile (CNCD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the boxer Hugo Esteban Rojas Pavez after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance Stanozolol.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered and the Athlete failed to attend the hearing of the Disciplinary Panel of the Tribunal de Expertos en Dopaje (TED).

The Panel finds that the presence of a prohibited substance has been established in the Athlete's sample and accordingly that he committed an anti-doping rule violation.

Therefore the TED Disciplinary Panel decides on 13 June 2017 to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 12 October 2016.

In October 2016 the National Doping Control Commission of Chile (CNCD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the canoeist Johnnathan Francisco Tafra Quitral for his evasion an refusal to submit to sample collection.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered. The Athlete filed a statement in his defence and was heard for the Disciplinary Panel of the Tribunal de Expertos en Dopaje (TED).

The Doping Control Officers (DCOs) reported that at the competition in question the Athlete and his crew did not disembark at the usal location as the other canoeists did. The loudspeakers were used to call the Athlete and thereupon the Athlete was called and notified by the DCO on his phone about the sample collection. Yet, the Athlete failed to attend the Doping Control Station.

The Athlete denied the charges and stated that at the competition he never had received any notification. After the race he went straight to his cabin. Only during his travel home in a bus he received a call from the DCO and was unable to return the bus.

The Panel did not accept the Athlete's explanation and finds that the Athlete was duly informed by the DCO over the phone about the sample collection. The Panel concludes that the Athlete deliberately had evaded the DCO in order to be notified about the sample collection.

Therefore the TED Disciplinary Panel decides on 19 July 2017 to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 20 October 2016.

In March 2017 the National Doping Control Commission of Chile (CNCD) has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Coach Dulce Margarita García Gil for tampering with the doping control process. The Coach filed a statement in her defence and she was heard for the Disciplinary Panel of the Tribunal de Expertos en Dopaje (TED).

Two Doping Control Officers (DCOs) reported and testified that the coach was informed by the DCOs that two selected athletes would be notified to submit for sample collection. Yet, the Coach reacted annoyed and aggressive to the DCOs and as a result during the training also the athletes refused to sign the Notification of the Doping Control. Finally the DCO's left the premises. Ultimately after intervention of an Official the two athlete's complied and were submitted to sample collection

The Coach disputed the report of the DCOs and denied that the Notification and Doping Control was obstructed by the Coach and thereupon by the athletes.

In view of the evidence the Panel established that there had been an altercation between the DCOs and the Coach about the notification of two athletes about sample collection and thereupon these athletes refused to sign the Notification Form.

Finally after training the athletes underwent doping control. However the Panel concludes that the Coach obstructed the notification process regarding the sample collection and acted negligently.

Therefore on 15 July 2017 the TED Disciplinary Panel decides to impose a warning on the Coach for the established anti-doping rule violation.
