ISI 2002_3 ISI Anti-Doping Committee vs Kristján Borgar Samúelsson

In July 2002 the Lyfjaráð ÍSÍ, the Iceland ISI Anti-Doping Committee, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance ephedrine.
After notification the Athlete was heard for the ISI Tribunal.
The Athlete admitted his violation and stated he only used his normal medication.
The ISI Tribunal decides to impose a 3 month period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the decision.

ISI 2002_2 ISI Anti-Doping Committee vs Freyja Sigurðardóttir

In July 2002 the Lyfjaráð ÍSÍ, the Iceland ISI Anti-Doping Committee, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete after her sample tested positive for the prohibited substance stanozolol.
After notification the Athlete did not attend the hearing of the ISI Tribunal, nor did she file a statement in her defence.
Therefore the ISI Tribunal decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the decision.

ISI 2002_1 ISI Anti-Doping Committee vs Lárus Einar Huldarson – Preliminary Decision

In July 2002 the Lyfjaráð ÍSÍ, the Iceland ISI Anti-Doping Committee, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete after his A sample tested positive for the prohibited substance ephedrine and pseudo-efedrine.
After notification the Athlete requested the B sample to be tested. Therefore the Iceland ISI Anti-Doping Committee requested the ISI Tribunal for a provisional suspension.
The Athlete has no comment about this request for a provisional suspension and reserved his right to defend himself as soon as the result of the B sample is available.

The ISI Tribunal decides to order a provisional suspension of 4 weeks on the Athlete.

ISI 2004_4 ISI Anti-Doping Committee vs Eygerði Ingu Hafþórsdóttur

In August 2004 the Lyfjaráð ÍSÍ, the Iceland ISI Anti-Doping Committee, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete after her A and B samples tested positive for the prohibited substance ephedrine. After notification the Athlete filed a statement in her defence. The Athlete stated that during the competition in July 2004 she suffered from stomach and diarrhea troubles and therefore used supplements. Hereby she unintentionally used ginseng tablets, purchased in the United States, due to these tablets look the same as the supplements she used and she did not know it contained a prohibited substance.

Without intention to enhance her sport performance the ISI Tribunal decides to reprimand the Athlete and the disqualification of the Athlete’s competition results obtained in July 2004.

ISI 2004_3 ISI Anti-Doping Committee vs Anna Soffía Vïkingsdóttir

In March 2004 the Lyfjaráð ÍSÍ, the Iceland ISI Anti-Doping Committee, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete after her sample tested positive for the prohibited substance furosemide.
After notification the Athlete filed a statement in her defence and did not attend the hearing of the ISI Tribunal.
The Athlete stated she suffered from a swelling and therefore used a Lasix Retard tablet as medication due to a kidney condition.
The ISI Tribunal does not accept the Athlete’s statement and decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the decision, i.e. 24 August 2004.

After notification the Athlete did not attend the hearing of the ISI Tribunal, nor did he file a statement in his defence.
The ISI Tribunal decides to impose a 6 month period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the notification, i.e. 24 March 2004.

ISI 2005_8 ISI Anti-Doping Committee vs Ari Gunnarsson

In August 2005 the Lyfjaráð ÍSÍ, the Iceland ISI Anti-Doping Committee, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substances ephedrine and testosterone with a T/E ratio above the WADA threshold, including a low level luteinizing hormone (LH).
After notification the Athlete did not attend the hearing of the ISI Tribunal, nor did he file a statement in his defence.
The ISI Tribunal decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the decision, i.e. 1 September 2005.

ISI 2005_5 ISI Anti-Doping Committee vs Ólafur Aron Ingvason

In April 2005 the Lyfjaráð ÍSÍ, the Iceland ISI Anti-Doping Committee, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Player after his A and B samples tested positive for the prohibited substances amphetamine, methyl amphetamine and cannabis.
After notification the Athlete was provisional suspended and heard for the ISI Tribunal.
The Athlete admitted the use of these substances and claimed he had no intention to enhance his sport performance.
The ISI Tribunal decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete, starting on the date of the notification, i.e. 1 April 2005.

ISI 2007_5 ISI Anti-Doping Committee vs Hrólfur Gíslason

In January 2008 the Lyfjaráð ÍSÍ, the Iceland ISI Anti-Doping Committee, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Player after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substances stanozolol and drostanolone.
The ISI Tribunal decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility, starting on the day of the sample collection, i.e. 28 December 2007 up to 28 December 2009.

AFLD 2011 FFHMFAC vs Respondent M03

Facts
The French Federation of Weightlifting, Fitness, Powerlifting and Bodybuilding (Fédération Française d'Halterophilie, Musculation, Force Athlétique et Culturisme, FFHMFAC) charges respondent M03 for a violation of the Anti-Doping Rules. During a bodybuilding event on May 8, 2011, a sample was taken for doping test purposes. The analysis of the sample showed the presence of a metabolite of drostanolone or methatesterone. Drostanolone and methatesterone are prohibited substances according the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibited list.

History
The respondent thinks that a contaminated diet supplement caused the positive doping test. The respondent has already been convicted for acts of the same nature (two years) suspension by a decision of 9 February 2005, pronounced against him by the
Disciplinary Commission of the FFHMFAC.

Decision
1. The sanction is a period of ineligibility of twenty years in which respondent can't take part in competition or manifestations organized or authorized by the French sport federations.
2. The period of ineligibility will be reduced by the period already served in voluntary suspension and the period of the decision dated August 3, 2010, of the disciplinary committee of the FFHMFAC.
3. The decision dated August 3, 2010, of the disciplinary committee of the FFHMFAC will be modified.
4. The appeal of the respondent is rejected.
5. The decision starts on the date of notification.
6. The decision will be published and sent to the parties involved.
