In November 2015 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Andreea Teodora Balan after her sample tested positive for the prohibited substances furosemide and carneron.

After notification the Athlete filed a statement with medical files in her defence and was heard for the ANAD Hearing Commission.
The Athlete admitted the violation and stated she used several prescribed medication as treatment for her medical condition. The Athlete mentioned her medication on the Doping Control Form; she wasn’t aware a TUE was necessary; she didn’t know the medication contained prohibited substances; and she acted without intention to enhance her performance.

The Hearing commission accepts the Athlete’s explanation and decides on 8 December 2015 only to impose a reprimand on the Athlete.

In September 2015 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Sergiu Giantau after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance drostanolone.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered. The Athlete requested for a hearing but he failed to attend the ANAD hearing nor did he file a statement in his defence.
On 20 October 2015 the ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 29 September 2015.

In April 2015 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Dragos Popescu after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance drostanolone.

After notification a provisional suspension was ordered and the Athlete was heard for the ANAD Hearing Commission. The Athlete admitted the violation and stated that he purchased the prohibited substance on the internet as suggested by another athlete.
On 19 August 2015 the ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 30 April 2015.

In May and in June 2015 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported 2 separate anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Florina Iuliana Iancu after her samples (provided on 9 April and on 2 May 2015) tested positive for the prohibited substance dehydrochlormethyltestosterone.

After notification in May 2015 for the first anti-doping rule violation a provisional suspension was ordered. The Athlete filed a statement in her defence and was heard for the ANAD Hearing Commission.
The Athlete admitted the use of dehydrochlormethyltestosterone following the advice of a friend and without consultation of her coach or team doctor.
Due to she provided a sample on 2 May 2015 the Athlete also admitted the second anti-doping violation.
During the disciplinary proceedings ANAD reported in June 2015 the second anti-doping rule violation after the Athlete’s sample, provided on 2 May 2015, also tested positive. The Athlete declined for another hearing about a violation she already gave a statement.

The Hearing Commission finds that the Athlete committed the second anti-doping violation (on 2 May 2015) before she received the notification for the first anti-doping violation (On 6 May 2015) and considers an additional sanction for only the first anti-doping rule violation.
Therefore on 22 July 2015 the ANAD Hearing Commission decides to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the provisional suspension, i.e. on 8 May 2015.

In April 2015 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Marius Ragea after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substance salbutamol.

After notification the Athlete filed a statement with evidence in his defence and was heard for the ANAD Hearing Commission.
The Athlete stated that he used the prescribed medications Ventolin and Miofilin for his asthma without a TUE and he declared his medication on the Doping Control Form.

Considering the Athlete’s medical file and statement the ANAD Hearing Commission concludes that Athlete suffers from asthma since childhood and uses the medication Ventolin (salbutamol) without intention to enhance his performance.
Without significant fault or negligence the ANAD Hearing Commission decides on 4 June 2015 only to reprimand the Athlete.

After notification the Athlete failed to attend the ANAD hearing nor did she file a statement in her defence. Therefore ANAD decides on 20 July 2015 to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on 12 May 2015.

In April 2015 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Costel Andrei Vasiliu after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substances drostanolone and dehydrochlormethyltestosterone.

After notification the Athlete failed to attend the ANAD hearing nor did he file a statement in his defence. Therefore ANAD decides on 20 July 2015 to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on 12 May 2015.

In June 2015 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Andra Maria Lungu after her sample tested positive for the prohibited substance furosemide.

After notification the Athlete failed to attend the ANAD hearing nor did she file a statement in her defence. Therefore ANAD decides to impose a 2 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the decision, i.e. on 15 June 2015.

In May 2015 the Agenţia Naţională Anti-Doping (ANAD), the National Anti-Doping Agency of Romania, has reported an anti-doping rule violation against the Athlete Mauro Schifano after his sample tested positive for the prohibited substances 19-norandrosterone and metenolon.

After notification the Athlete admitted in his submission the violation and waived his right to be heard.
Considering the test result and the Athlete’s admission ANAD decises to impose a 4 year period of ineligibility on the Athlete starting on the date of the sample collection, i.e. on 18 April 2015.
